recently purchased a 2012 Subaru Impreza from Falcone, and I was completely satisfied with my experience. My business relationship with Falcone actually started when I purchased by Triumph Motorcycle from their power sports dealership in 2008. When gas prices skyrocketed this year, I decided it was time to surrender my beloved pickup truck, and switch to a smaller vehicle. I had some interest in the Subaru make, and in April 2012, I made my first visit to Falcone.
During my first visit, I was greeted by the sales staff immediately upon entering the building. I was introduced to John "Fitz" Fitzgerald, and he was able to assess my situation fairly quickly. He was very knowledgeable and never pressured me to buy anything. I don't tolerate high-pressure tactics, and since he didn't use them, I figured he was a man with whom I could do business. During my first visit, I was able to test drive both an Impreza and an Outback. I took Fitz's business card and a brochure and did several months of research.
In July 2012, I decided to give Fitz a call. We discussed my needs, and mutually agreed that a 5-door Impreza would be the best option (even though it was not the most expensive option). The following weekend, I visited the dealership and had my truck's value assessed. During this visit, I met with both Fitz as well as Mr. Falcone. Mr. Falcone made me a very generous offer on my truck and took a deposit on an Impreza that was expected to arrive at the dealership within a week. I really appreciated the fact that the owner of the dealership met with me personally.
During the time that I was awaiting the arrival of my new car, I spoke to Fitz often regarding its status. I am an extremely difficult and demanding customer, and he was very patient. I decided not to finance the car through Falcone, and Fitz was on top of providing my credit union with all the information they needed. The car was a few days late on arrival (which was not the fault of the dealership), but it arrived in perfect order. On the date of the transaction, I was very happy to find out several things: 1) no dealer fees were assessed, 2) the deal that was put on the table was upheld, 3) they didn't try to sell me anything else, and 3) there was no "funny business." Before I took possession of my car, Fitz answered any final questions I had. He also gave me a complete tour of the vehicle, and explained all of the features.
Buying a car is a major decision. I am happy that I chose Falcone Subaru.
